49ers Clinch #1 NFC Seed with McCaffrey Injury Scare

The San Francisco 49ers enter the postseason as the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs. With these victories, the Washington Commander and Philadelphia Eaglesand#039; shocking home loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the Niners earned a bye in the first round of the playoffs and the entire home field advantage.

 

Star quarterback Christian McCaffrey is excited for his team to rest before being tested in the most important games of the season. “We all need it — I know we do,” McCaffrey said after the 49ers’ 27-10 win over Washington.

 

“So I’m excited to breathe and get back to normal.” McCaffrey suffered a calf injury that the star running back called minor after the game.

He was injured in the third quarter and did not return to the game after that. Head coach Kyle Shanahan didn’t seem too concerned, but said if the Niners had to beat the Los Angeles Rams in the season finale to claim the No. 1 seed, McCaffrey could have made a difference.
