49ers Edge Packers 24-21 in NFC Divisional Nail-Biter
The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers 24-21 in the NFC divisional weekend game on Saturday night.The 49ers took the lead with 1:07 left on Christian McCaffrey’s 6-yard touchdown run, capping a 12-play, 69-yard drive.
San Francisco quarterback Dre Greenlaw capped the game by catching a pass from Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love at the 49ers’ 42-yard line with 34 seconds left.
In a game that saw five lead changes, San Francisco scored the last 10 points to win. That streak could have ended, but freshman Anders Carlson missed a 41-yard field goal with 6:18 left that would have pushed Green Bay’s lead to seven points.McCaffrey rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries and caught seven passes for 30 yards.
The Packers got 108 passing yards from Aaron Jones and two touchdown passes from Love, who was caught twice, both times by Greenlaw. The quarterback had three interceptions in five NFL seasons.
