Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown didn’t hide his disappointment after the team’s ugly loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15. However, he’s not letting the loss get him down. After all, they still have work to do as they continue to prepare for the postseason. The Eagles let a win slip away on Monday Night Football, allowing Drew Lock to lead the Seahawks back to victory. With Philly leading 17-13 with less than 30 seconds left, he had no choice but to hold on and make sure he got the stops. Simply put, they didn’t. Lock orchestrated a 10-play, 92-yard drive capped by a 29-yard touchdown pass to Jaxson Smith-Njigba to help the Seahawks take a 20-17 lead. It was certainly an amazing turnaround, especially considering the fact that Seattle didn’t even have a QB1 in Geno Smith due to injury. Brown admitted after the game that it must have been a pretty disappointing move for him and the Eagles. They came in as heavy favorites and looked to be on their way to victory, but they didn’t get the job done and didn’t do themselves any favors in the final seeding battle. However, AJ Brown stressed that the Philadelphia Eagles don’t have time to crack and cry over spilled milk. As he emphasized, he is very aware of the type of player he is and therefore continues to be the same because he tries to work on all aspects of his game. “I’m disappointed, but I’m not down. I know the type of football player I am, and I’ve got to focus on my job and get ready for the game and try to get my guys in the room ready to play,” Brown said via Zach Berman of PHLY. “Everything else is under our control. We run routes, we get the ball, we catch the ball, we try to make plays. Otherwise, we cannot control other things. Even if we don’t like it, we can’t help it. Maybe the Eagles can learn something from Brown’s mindset. When the going is tight, the going gets tough. They could really use some of that mantra as they hope to get back into the win column sooner rather than later.
