Cameron Heyward cries as orphanage children show him love after he buys 8 mansion worth 1billion dollars for orphanage..
Heyward House was founded in 2015 by Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward.
However, Cam’s story – and the founding of The Heyward House – begins long before the Steelers drafted him.
Cameron had severe asthma as a child. His condition required numerous hospitalizations, caused scary close calls, and prevented him from ever playing any sport, let alone one as physically demanding as football.
This experience taught him not to take anything for granted – good or bad. He learned that just because someone else doubts your future, you should never let it stop you. He is passionate about spreading this message to others.
Cam’s struggle with asthma fades into the next life-changing event he faced as a teenager – the death of his father, Craig Heyward.
The death of his father gave a gigantic blow to everyone in his life, but especially to his four sons. They lost a parent, a friend and a role model. It also meant that Cameron was raised by a single mother.
She learned firsthand the difficulties that parents and children face when there is only one adult in the house or when a child’s home life is difficult.
She knows how important it is for people in these situations to feel supported by the community around them and is determined to provide support in any way she can.Cam’s passion on the court doesn’t stop when his uniform comes off. In fact, it’s the other way around – Cameron brings his passion for life to the pitch.
Cam’s heart is with children – whether it’s visiting children with serious illnesses, shopping children for winter clothes or sending birthday gifts and cards to children who rarely get to celebrate.
He knows that every child needs to have that one person who is in their corner and supports them all the time..
