Chase Daniel Tips Rams to Halt 49ers’ Super Bowl Momentum
Right now, the San Francisco 49ers are the consensus pick to win the Super Bowl title, and to some they just seem unstoppable. They’ve probably had the best defense in the NFL for a while, but now their offense has become a monster as quarterback Brock Purdy, the so-called “Mr. Irrevelent” of the 2022 draft, has raised the bar with his. streak impressive skills.
The question is, which NFL team has the best chance to stop the Niners’ playoff push? Some would say the Dallas Cowboys or the Detroit Lions or the Baltimore Ravens who play San Francisco. But former quarterback Chase Daniel said on “The Dan Patrick Show” that the Los Angeles Rams, a longtime NFC West rival of the Niners, have the best chance to send the Niners home early.
At first glance, that seems like a ridiculous claim considering the Rams are 8-7 and not even a lock to make the playoffs. They are a team in transition, having lost some key members of their 2021 Super Bowl championship team and therefore relying on young players at some key positions. But L.A. have won five of their last six games and have beaten decent teams, including the New Orleans Saints, who they beat on Thursday.
New wide receiver Puka Nacua is already a star with 1,327 yards and five touchdowns, while quarterback Kyren Williams has excited the team. Additionally, quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp — two key players for the Rams — could return to form after the hit. The big question for the Rams could be their defense, which has struggled at times this year, but anything is possible in a one-game playoff game.
