Christian McCaffrey wins NFL rushing title despite not playing Sunday
Christian McCaffrey could finish the 2023 season with an NFL title without playing in the team’s final game.In the Week 17 win over the Washington Commanders, McCaffrey sprained his tibia slightly.
In the first round of the playoffs, the 49ers quarterback has an extra week to recover.Although McCaffrey did not play on Sunday, he was able to secure the NFL rushing title with 1,459 yards this season.
Derrick Henry, who finished second and played in all 18 games, trailed McCaffrey with 292 yards.It’s McCaffrey’s first career rushing touchdown and the first by a 49ers quarterback since Joe “The Jet” Perry in 1954.Christian McCaffrey also had the most receiving yards this season.

Along with his 564 yards, he totaled 2,023 receiving yards, the most in the NFL.
