SEATTLE — Eagles first-round pick Nolan Smith left the Seahawks game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury. Smith’s reinstatement is in doubt. Although Smith hasn’t played much defense this season, he seemed to shoot more in this game. But in the third quarter, Smith made the long trip to the blue medical tent and then ran inside. If you recall, Smith was limited during the summer with a shoulder injury. He left the Browns’ preseason game early and then missed significant practice time. Smith underwent surgery last November to repair a chest injury. Whether this injury is related to the summer shoulder injury is unclear. “You can tell it’s scar tissue, something simple like (it),” Smith said of his shoulder this summer. “I don’t want to get too into it. But this is my baby and I take care of him every day. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.” As of Monday night, Smith had played in 13 games and had 1 sack, 9 tackles and 2 TFLs.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
There was another brief injury scare in the third quarter when Lane Johnson sprained his left ankle. But after a very short trip to the medical tent, Johnson returned after only missing one bout.
