On the Warner House podcast, former WR Jerry Rice picked the top five NFL wide receivers of all time, and surprisingly, he came out on top. Top 5 WRs in #NFL history according to Jerry Rice.

1) Jerry Rice

2) Calvin Johnson

3) Chris Carter

4) Randy Moss

5) Terrell Owens

Who is missing from the list?

— Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) December 20, 2023 Rice, a former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver, was asked on the podcast who he thought were the top five wide receivers of all time. It was definitely a surprising and very interesting list considering how he ranked the players. Rice topped his list on the list, followed by Calvin Johnson and Cris Carter, Randy Moss and Terrell Owens.

Rice’s roster was supposed to follow an old-school approach, evident in the five players he selected, but generational talents Tyreek Hill, Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson shook things up.

As the NFL becomes more of a passing league, there are questionable talents like Hill who need to shape things going forward. Despite being out for a week with an ankle injury, Hill continues to lead the NFL in receiving yards.

Hill has 1,542 yards and AJ Brown is second with 1,314. In the latest episode of The Warner House Podcast , 49ers All-Pro Fred Warner and Rice also discussed San Francisco 49ers starting quarterback Brock Purdy.

According to Rice, he believes that Brock Purdy is probably the greatest receiver of all time in football. Rice said Purdy is so good he deserves comparisons to former 49ers Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana.
