Packers’ Carlson Struggles Continue: LaFleur Seeks Answers After 49ers Loss

Packers quarterback Jordan Love threw a difficult pass on first down and two overtimes.But before that, Packers kicker Anders Carlson failed to make a field goal with 3:45 to play, which would have given the Packers a 24-17 lead.

 

The 49ers scored a touchdown on Christian McCaffrey just minutes later, but a botched punt gave San Francisco a tie instead.After the loss, Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about Carlson’s hitting issues, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic:”Matt LaFleur on Anders Carlson, who has missed 10 of the Packers’ last 12 games: “I think , if we had an answer, we would fix it. and#039;”LaFleur continued to develop Via Jason Hirschhorn of The Jump:”Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Anders Carlson: “Definitely the head needs to work on consistency. Carlson must have got it right when he read it. As for the Packers’ kicker, USA Today’s Ryan Wood had this to say about missing the punt:”Anders Carlson says his pass was good.

 

He had the right line. Just hit the kick, touched the wrong spot. His leg : “These guys are hard to do. It hurts the worst. They have a bright future ahead of them, but it sure hurts.and#039;”Carlson is under contract with the Packers through 2026. Let’s see if LaFleur decides to make a trade after the painful loss to the 49ers..
