Packers Reflect on Strong Season Despite Playoff Exit, Focus on Jordan Love’s Growth
The Green Bay Packers shocked everyone but themselves this season. While their loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round on Saturday night was disappointing, it doesn’t change the fact that they had a huge run in the league in 2023.
Most importantly, they also found out that they have a third straight quarterback in Jordan Love .Love. regular season 64.2% completion percentage, 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also had a passer rating of 96.1 and a QBR of 62.0. All of these numbers surpassed both Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre in their first seasons as Green Bay’s starters: All in all, Love’s season was far from perfect.
Indeed, many learning moments arose from the mistakes he made. Of course, the last and most painful of those was the interception Love called the “deadly sin” against the 49ers on Saturday night. However, the positive aspects of the game of love far outweigh the negatives. Last year, his first year as a starter, is his floor. He continues to improve and Love knows exactly what area he wants to focus on improving this season..
