Ravens Set Record with Dominant Wins, Eye Home Field Advantage

“Ravens Set Record with Dominant Wins, Eye Home Field Advantage”

The Baltimore Ravens put together a record performance against the San Francisco 49ers. In response, Monday Night Football analysts across the league called it a potential Super Bowl preview, and for good reason. Both teams entered with the same 11-3 record and were widely considered the best teams in their respective conferences. With an elite offense and defense, this should have been one of the best games of the season.

Instead, the Ravens crushed the 49ers, winning 33-19 in a game that was never in doubt. Then-MVP Brock Purdy threw four interceptions, while Lamar Jackson’s strong performance made him the new favorite for the league’s top individual honor. The Ravens have dominated good teams all season, and recent studies show that no one has ever been as good at beating good teams as the 2023 Baltimore Ravens.

The Week 16 victory marked the seventh time throughout the season that the Ravens defeated a team with a record 14 victories. That’s never happened before, according to StatsPerform.com, meaning the Ravens hold the record for most blowout wins of any team.

Ravens Set Yet Another Record In Dominant Win Over 49ers

Not only do the Ravens hold the record for the most hitting wins over opponents, but it’s not even close. According to the study, no other team has more than five wins against such opponents, and Baltimore still has plenty of time to improve and extend its lead in that category.

The Ravens have a chance to push home field advantage into the playoffs in Week 16 when they face the 11-4 Miami Dolphins. While the goal is to win at any time, it wouldn’t hurt if they had another win. The Dolphins are a legitimate Super Bowl contender, but they probably won’t be as good as the 49ers.

Anything can happen on any Sunday, so time will tell what happens on match day. Having said that though, the Ravens should be able to win this one and hopefully they can by 14 points. If the Ravens win this game and continue their streak, they could rest their starters in Week 18. After all, they would have nothing to play for since they would already have home field advantage during the playoffs.

An NFL season is a long and grueling experience for the human body, and you never want to risk injury to key players like Lamar Jackson. That said, if the Ravens want to go all out in the regular season finale, they can beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 8-7. Now, it’s possible that Pittsburgh doesn’t have a winning record in Week 18, so even if Baltimore beats them handily, it still might not count. The Ravens’ record is likely to be seven against teams with 14 or more points. It’s still ridiculously impressive and shows that this team plays its best football when the lights are at their brightest.
