Offseason Drama: 49ers’ Feliciano and Eagles’ Carter Exchange Heated Words

The NFL season is officially over. But some of the beef still seems to carry into the offseason. On Tuesday, San Francisco 49ers tight end Jon Feliciano and Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jalen Carter took their personal vendetta public.

Feliciano recently made headlines for appearing to blame 49ers teammate Spencer Bufford for a costly mistake during San Francisco’s Super Bowl loss. Kansas City Chiefs.

Feliciano said the second-year player missed a crucial block that would have given quarterback Brock Purdy enough time for a touchdown in overtime. Instead, Patrick Mahomes and Mecole Hardman combined for the OT title.

Feliciano later apologized to Burford. But the 49ers veteran immediately faced new drama when Carter found out.Carter posted a screenshot on Instagram of the Feliciano-Burford exchange that took place at X.

In the post, the Eagles rookie accused Feliciano of a bad call that crossed the line when the Eagles and 49ers faced off in the regular season. .the same guy who talked about my dead teammate and why I was emotional during our game. mmh [sic],” Carter wrote in a post on the Instagram story.

Carter claimed Feliciano was referring to his Georgia teammate Devin Willock, who was killed in a car accident. Last March, Carter was involved in a crash but was not tried on criminal charges. On Tuesday Feliciano gave his side of the story.

The 49ers lineman claimed he only talked about Willock’s death after Carter verbally threatened Feliciano’s family on the field.

Feliciano also alleged that Carter sent threatening messages to his family on social media over the following weeks.”A guy told me he was going to kill me and my kids wouldn’t see me again 3 times because I laughed at him after I got the ticket… I said I believe you have a body.

He then posted my family. my friends for weeks,” Feliciano wrote to X. Feliciano said in his message that he believed Carter when Carter threatened to kill him because Carter is already responsible for someone else’s death (the “you have a body” part of the comment).

The 49ers and Eagles already had bad blood after last season’s NFC Championship Game. This latest release is likely to add fuel to the fire..
